Relationships Matter Event

A Social and Learning Event has been arranged through Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership along with local Care Providers, Advocating Together and Dates-n-Mates Scotland. The event is for over 18's only and must be booked.

 

The event will take place on Friday 20th February from 12 Noon at Fairmuir Social Club,17 Balgray Street, Dundee.

 

You can attend part or all of the event

There will be Information Sessions from 12-2pm which will allow people to explore ways to support friendships and relationships in the safest way possible. These can be attended by practitioners, care workers, family carers and people with disabilities.

Dates n Mates Home - Dates-n-Mates Scotland will share information about their service and the support they give to people in other areas of Scotland. 

There will be a session from a Public Health Specialist from NHS Tayside which will explore what practitioners, care workers and family carers are looking for in terms of learning materials around safe relationships. 

In another session Dates-n-Mates will discuss "What it takes to be a good friend?’ and provide an opportunity to explore what relationships might be like. There will be information Stalls from 12- 2pm.

You will have an opportunity to share your views on what is needed regarding Friendships and Relationships for people with a Learning Disability and/or Autism in Dundee. At 2pm-5pm there will be a Daytime Disco, a buffet and a Bar will be provided by the Social Club. There will be quiet activities through-out for those who need a break.

Although we have been lucky to receive some support for the event there is a small charge for those who attend.
